This project was making LED turn signals and brake lights that fit inside of bike handlebars. The device is comprised of a small Arduino connected to two push buttons mounted inside the handlebars and two LEDs mounted in the endcaps. By using small coin cell batteries the entire device fits inside the handlebars and can be waterproofed easily. The design is rugged due to the strong handlebar case. As a safety feature the LEDs glow and change colors while riding but by pressing one of the buttons the corresponding LED blinks to indicate turning. When both buttons are pressed the LEDs flash red to indicate that the rider is slowing down.
